I love reading other people’s “About Me” sections on websites and profiles. They seem to be well articulated and confident in their place in the world. I’ve never once felt that way about my own profiles. I am a daughter. I am a friend. I have attended almost every major protestant denomination for some period of time, I even went to a Catholic service a good deal those 2 months I was in Ghana, so picking one label for my faith is hard. I am a sister. I am a Democrat. I am a roommate. I am a dog person. I am a college football fanatic. I would rather be near the water than near civilization. I am a multi-issue voter. To the disbelief of everyone I attended college with, I loved my church home in Waco more than is possibly normal. I am a lifeguard. I am sociology and US history teacher at a high school in southeastern Tennessee. I am a wannabe food network personality/Daily Show corespondent.
